I took some pictures of Ben today! After so nicely helping me take pictures for the past few weeks, I think he deserves some time in the spotlight.

He just recently graduated college! He was a theater major, and is one of the funniest men I have ever met. 

He also loves Spiderman more than words can ever say. It makes buying birthday/Christmas gifts so much easier.

it's because of the fall

today at work I accidentally set part of my hair on fire while trying to light a cigarette... truly, smoking is the coolest and most fabulous of bad habits. luckily i didn't get hurt, and not too much of my hair went up in flames! it was pretty funny, though.

after that, I went over to Ben's house! we took some pictures outside, but the mosquitos ate us ALIVE.

I had to resist the temptation to swat everything so the pictures wouldn't blur.

I really need to invest in some other pairs of shorts....but these are just so comfy and versatile! It's just so hot outside that nothing else makes sense to wear.

After Class

   I came home to take a Biology class this summer.  It's 2 days a week for 5 weeks, and for those 2 days, I go to class from 8am to 4:30pm.  Not fun.  But today I got out early.  Happy day!  And so my little brother took some pictures of me out in the yard.  I have to say, I have no idea how to play croquet.  I hate croquet.  Not only am I not good at it, but I find it extremely boring.  But Jon said I should act like I was playing.  So I did...

Not a clue as to what one does with a croquet mallet.

   Another day done.  I'm getting back into the swing of things at home.  I'm finding myself really missing the north.  I'm not really a mountain person, it would seem.  I miss my friends and the bustle of things to do and the beach.  But soon I will be back!

Summer Days

   Well, I have officially started life at home for better or for worse.  The problem is, if I don't have enough going on, I get restless, grumpy, and I snack alot.  And it hath begun.  So I'm hoping to occupy myself with reading, Battlestar Galactica, and working on making lamps until the end of July when I head back to MA.  Today I went to church for the first time in a long time.  This what I wore:

This is the hallway upstairs in my parent's house.  That square thing to my right is a piece of masonite that I painted a tree on in the 8th grade...stupid hipster kid.

So I wore this outfit most of the day.  But then I snuggled down to watch Battlestar Galactica.  I'm obsessed.  I love it.  Lee Adama is my destiny...I've decided.

I found this gorgeous vintage chanel scarf on etsy today.

Unfortunately it is waaaaaay out of my price range, even though it's very very cheap for what it is (under 100 dollars cheap). I've got so many other things I have to worry about buying right now. I can't just buy every pretty thing I find.

But it's soooo hard to say no. Gotta stay strong!

Heyyyy everybody! Buhh, I feel like it's been so long since I've put up an outfit post. This has been a pretty emotional/rollercoaster week for me between work and school issues and family and friends. I'm just glad it's the weekend - hopefully it'll give me some time to decompress. 

If you're wondering about the title of this post, this evening Ben and I discovered that he still owned some Pokemon VHS. After a marathon viewing of another of our favorite shows, Ghost Adventures (known to us as GHOST BROS), we popped it in to relive some childhood magic. It's even more ridiculous than I remember - I was weeping with nostalgia and laughter.

A note about my glasses - they are one of the few designer things I own. I got them about four years ago as a graduation gift, and I will never ever ever stop wearing them. I put on some Chanel no. 5 to go along with them.
