I'm back...Sort Of.

Oh dear.  I've been out of the loop for a wicked long time.  After school ended, I stuck around for graduation and saw all of my friends walk.  So good, yet so sad.  Since then I've been working overhire at a local theatre, and so I've been a bit out of touch with all things other than scrollers, hanging lights, and cabling.  But now that is also over, and I drive home to VA tomorrow.  Leaving friends and heading towards family.  Anyway, so I haven't been able to take any pictures.  But, here are a few pics from the end of the year:

This is me at Senior Formal.  Kym and I went together.  The event was at the Taj on Newbury St. in Boston.  So lovely.

Two of my best friends in all the world: Taylor and Carissa.

Again, me and graduating friends.  Love them.

Ok, so that's it for another few days.  I'll have more to come soon.  I promise.  My little brother, Jon, wants to be a photographer, so I'll keep him occupied...  Anyway, so long for now.

Keats and Yeats are on your side

I've been inspired by several blogs lately to go for the "big slouchy comfy sweaterwear" look! I can see why it has such appeal - I was so cozy all day long! I was lucky it didn't get too hot outside.

Ben took these pictures at his house - he has a cat named Kitty who makes a guest appearance.

I was totally okay with that, because I LOVE CATS.

HI KITTY. She kept licking my bare legs and making me laugh.

Ben's dog, Sharky, also ran over during these pictures and peed on the fence directly behind me.

Just imagine me screaming "CAAAAATS" in this photo, and you won't be too far off from what was going on.

See you guys tomorrow!

take it in the ear

I went to the chiropractor today to get my bones cracked and they took an x-ray of my neck. Apparently the vertebra in my neck are starting to curve the wrong way. MUTANT POWER??? No, I just slouch a lot.
Ben came over afterwards to take pictures! I had already changed out of my work clothes, because he and I are gonna go out later tonight with my good friend Rachel! I can't wait!

My mom made me some lemon water! Usually I don't like it, but it was nice and refreshing on such a humid day.

Gonna get my drank on with some friends tonight! RESPONSIBLY I PROMISE.

Funny thing - notice how my legs look so stumpy in some of these pictures? This is because Ben is so much taller than me, when he takes the pictures, my legs get foreshortened.

summer days, driftin' away

Whooo! Sorry for the hiatus, you guys! Finals, projects, and packing have totally destroyed Grace and I's life for the past week or so. My mom flew up to Massachusetts to help me pack, and together we drove the 19 hours back to Tennessee. My car's air conditioner also happens to be broken, so during those days, I concentrated on wearing cooler clothes than cute ones.

Grace and I will sadly be separate for the summer (she went back home to Virginia), BUT that doesn't mean this blog will stop anytime soon! Besides showing you all what we're wearing, it's also a good way for us to keep in touch. D'awwww.

EDIT: also, you may notice we have a new header at the top of the page! photo is courtesy of Paul Wright, who is one of our friends and a marvelous photographer!

My photographer for this summer is my boyfriend, Ben. I'm not as serious looking in these pictures as I am in the ones that Grace takes, because Ben is ridiculous and makes me laugh.

Today was his mom's birthday, so we went to Logan's Roadhouse and feasted! Afterwards we went back to their house, which is where these pictures were taken.

She told us to take pictures over by the gargoyle, because it's supposed to be good luck.

See you soon! Hope you all are enjoying the start of summer!

Wow.  I'm wicked behind on posting.  The stress of finals and friends graduating and moving out has me going crazy.  But anyway, these are pictures from May 12th.  It was a beautiful and amazing day.  Kym and I went to the beach, then I came back to Gordon to work in the theatre before the senior seminar shows, and there was a quick break for a Tuna Fish sub by the beach with Ben.  It was such a gorgeous day.

Kym and I love an occasional cigarette.  And it was the perfect day for it: warm and sunny.

So this is my old car.  It's a grampa car.  We have a love-hate relationship.

This is my favorite photo.  Goofy.  Per usual.

Well, I'm off.  Finals.  Saying goodbye.  Not fun.  I would like time for another tuna fish sub...

vices

Oof, sorry for the lack of posts yesterday! As you may or may not know, blogger was completely down all day long. Bummer!

Yesterday I woke up and decided that I wanted to have a pompadour. I usually don't do much with my hair, but I spent a good twenty minutes hairspraying it into shape! From the neck up, I look like an old picture of someone's mom - I love it.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, smoking is bad and no one should ever do it! It's a terrible habit.

That being said, I love to smoke on the beach. Also, look! I'm trying to overcome my fear of having an awkward crotch! I'm still not quite there yet...I changed into a longer shirt later in the day.

I'm trying to quit, I swear!

Blues and Ambers

The end of the year life gets a bit tired and old.  The anticipation of friends leaving is sad.  Finals are not fun.  And so in these photos, I look a bit morose and moribund.  The beach was gorgeous however.  I love it.  I'll miss it so much.  Sad.

The color is off on these photos, but I actually kind of like it.  I have a thing for blues and ambers in photos and lighting.  I think it's so gorgeous.

Funny story...when I was a freshman, on halloween night, some friends and I took a golf cart from campus and drove it to this beach.  We jumped on top of this pavilion and felt like cool rebels.  So funny.

Hopefully when I blog next (tomorrow), it will be warm!  Wish us MA people luck!  *smile*

pumped up kicks!

Grace and I waited a little later on in the day to take pictures, so we took them outside on a beach pavilion! The lights there are a little yellowy, but I tried to fix them as best I could. The pictures are a little grainier than I'd like, but they still turned out pretty good!

Wearing my new glasses! They're from the Urban Vintage collection over at Bonlook. They're called Creme Caramel in Gold.

I'm really gonna miss how accessible the beach is once I graduate.

I need to wear heels more often, since I'm so short.

I like to buy normal shirts super large so I can wear them over tights.

I look like my Grandma Nita so much in this picture!

Favorite Jacket Day

Today, again, was coldish and misty.  I am tired and a bit run down.  So I threw on my favorite jacket to make me feel better.
So, I have this friend who also happens to be my favorite professor.  She runs the tech department in the theatre.  She gave me the jacket during this nightmare show we were working on.  (We dead hung 177 glowing orbs of light in our black box and wired them all to turn on white or color....ugh)  The jacket used to be her's when she went to school.  It is so comfy and soft.  I love it.  Thank you, Dawn!

I love the design on this jacket.  It's so crazy!  The colors are great.  Love it.

Kym and I took pictures in the old gazebo with the bell-as she has explained.  It was misting nastily outside, but we wanted to take the photos outside because of the lighting.  So it was the bell gazebo was perfect.

Well, another day, another blog.  Fun times.

once upon a mid-day dreary

Massachusetts hasn't quite gotten the memo that it's spring yet. It's pretty chilly outside for a May day, and it's been drizzling all day long.

But that didn't stop us from taking pictures!

Showin' off my ring and my shoes! I'm not usually a big jewelry person, but I'm trying!

jacket and blouse: H&M
pants and shoes: Forever 21
bag: Urban Outfitters
ring: Forever 21

When I worked as a tour guide, I had to take people to this gazebo/bell shrine all the time.

There's a tradition that engaged couples ring the bell together after the man proposes.

BUT, if you ring the bell and you aren't engaged, you will go seven years without anyone proposing to you! At a small school where lots of people get married near graduation, this is quite a curse.

This is my favorite part about this shirt. The back has a lacy panel! How ladylike.

I hope this week gets sunnier!
